Hi, love your podcast you are very talented, I have just purchased your The founding shawl pattern I would of loved to have the same wool to get the same effect, but in Québec I won’t find it. Can you recommend me a similar wool that I can use and sold in Canada? Thank you

That Artus shawl is looking stunning, really love your colour choice but then you always have good taste! You can easily propagate the butterfly bush by trimming it with two nodes and just popping the stem in the ground with the lower node under the earth. I have heaps I've done this way! I just trim back all the larger leaves.

Buddlea ‘butterfly’ bushes are amazing! Trim back after flowering, so it doesn’t get leggie. Flowers smell lovely and attract butterflies. Catnip for Monarch butterflies especially. 🌿

EMDR is the technique for treating what you mentioned in the beginning of your podcast. You go to a psychotherapist specialized in using EMDR technique and she/he can in a few sessions move your negative experiences/reactions from X hemisphere (in the brain) to another hemisphere (let's call it Y). X is for negative emotions and Y for positive. Look into it, you'll find it interesting. I hope this helps. (another knitter living in S-W of the US)

🌿 English is my third language but here I go: sounds like your brain is working really hard now, processing thoughts and feelings. And that takes a lot of energy, it's like your brain running on a mental treadmill. Usually we don't even realize how much our brain is working in stressful situation. Then suddenly all the synapses associated with knittig and relaxing start working and "turn off" the treadmill and your brain is "why is everything so quiet and still?" Getting some rest is what you need, the joy of knitting will be there when the time is right. I hope things will get better soon.❤

If it’s really hot I might wait to cut it back until fall when things are a bit cooler, that said, I don’t have a butterfly bush so I’m no expert. Do you watch knitting podcasts when you knit? Sending super belated birthday wishes!!! I'm not sure what sunscreens you are getting from Europe but they are probably safer since there are a lot tighter regulations in Europe overall. I have actually been super happy with the Sky & Sol sunscreen here in the US since it leaves no white or long greasy residue. It's for the face and body with an spf of 30 or 50 and it is such a "clean" product that if someone accidentally ate it (lol) it would be safe and it's also safe for the reef.

💐 I love your garden tours!! I'm hoping to grow a pawpaw tree but it'll have to be moved in and out since I live in Montana I have an avocado and going to do mango and olive as well!! Your knits are gorgeous currently working on a Saxon braid shawl with brick red hand spun wool!!

Need to spray the peach tree with a sulfur or copper-based fungicide pesticide. Its a virus - picking off the leaves will not stop the virus. It will affect the fruit. Need to spray just before the tree produces buds in spring. Dont put the leaves or fruit in the compost, as you will re-infect the soil with the fungus.

Happy birthday for the 10th? Mine is the 11th. Your handspun plying is so even and luscious. The sheen on the unspun locks is amazing. SPF 50 to prevent keratosis here in South Australia. The sun has damaged my skin not wearing or a hat when I was younger. Mineral make-up and sunscreens are better at deflecting the suns rays as recommended by my Skin specialist. But can be greasy. I use Natio SPF50, that is a non-greasy moisturising but light product. Cherry tomatoes require full sun. Espalier your fig on a frame sideways so it doesn't take up space.

Wanted to add, i like using banana boat light as air 50 spf for my face and neck. I use a sports sunscreen for arms and legs. The banana boat is water resistant. Recently i tried carpe matte sweat proof on my face and neck. Very effective, though taking it off my face felt relieved, like it could finally breathe. So i don't know if i like that. But it helps with menopause sweats for me, and cycling too, even walking. 💐

Gosh, Starbaby is very involved today ❤ I've been wearing sunscreen on my face and neck daily since i learned how important it was, and I've started putting it on my arms (and legs as needed) also since I've been cycling. It's reminded me that all exposed areas need it. My mom has skin cancer on her forehead and gets it removed often. She's almost 90. They had supposedly uv protective skylights in their retirement home and I'm certain that's what caused it for her because of the location and her habits. 🎉 Happy Birthday! 🎂

Yes, it's probably a hybrid cashmere and angora goat. Angora goats (not to be confused with angora rabbits) are where we get mohair fiber. The shared name (angora) is from the city of Ankara, Turkey, which is why two totally different animals are both called that.

the Artus shawl is looking great! also I love how its the exact same shade ochre as your shirt. speaking of the shirt, wanted to say that with some of the coarser wools, the more you wear it, the softer and cosier it can feel sometimes. kind of like a tartan skirt that is itchy as all heck when you first get it, but after wearing it regularly for a year its super comfortable.

I love skin care as well. My current favorite non-tinted sunscreen is P. Calm SPF 50+ PA++++. It’s a Korean brand. Happy Birthday!

Hi Taylor. Happy Birthday! 🦋💐🌸 Being from Australia sunscreen is an ingrained part of life for us, sun protection has to be SPF 50+. Our Cancer Council has their own brand that I have been using for years. Love the knit you are wearing in this video! I am test knitting your cardigan.
